The International Standard Serial Number is a concise citation for serials which is commonly used by booksellers, distributors, librarians, subscription agents and others. To obtain an ISSN for your magazine or journal (to serve for all issues), request the brochure "ISSN Is for Serials." This will explain how to use ISSN numbers and includes an application form.
