CLMP is using the chat feature in Yahoo Groups. In order to use the chat, you must register for our group, clmp-chat, then go to the chat area. Yahoo chat requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or later or Netscape Navigator 4.08 or later. Java must be enabled on your browser.

FAQ

We have three different FAQs: CLMP (about the organization), Writers (for writers), and Publishers (providing technical assistance for publishers).

The Publisher's FAQ is organized by these categories: Editorial, Financial and Management, Fundraising, General, Production and Design, Publicity, Sales and Distribution, and Technology and the Internet. If you don't find your question addressed in the FAQ, check out our discussion forums, email lists, or resources. You can also submit your question for possible inclusion in future updates of the FAQs.

Links

CLMP maintains a collection of links to sites relating to independent literary publishing, resources for publishers, and a small collection of links for writers. Users can search the links, have new links emailed to them, and suggest links. When signing up for email updates, make sure that you are in the relevant category. For example, if you want notification of all new links in the Publishers category, go to that category then click "Get email updates." When suggesting links, make sure to choose the appropriate category for your link.

Literary Landscape

Use the map to do simple regional searches or the advanced search form for more precise options. You can suggest new entries using this form.

Member Directory

Use the search form to find members by region, interest category, type of publisher, or name, or browse a list of all members. To view more details about a publisher, click on the blue "more..." link. Members can update their listings here.

To access members only areas and to receive discounts when ordering publications, you will be asked for your username and password. If you can't remember your username and password, email jkoo@clmp.org for help.

Membership application

Potential members can use the handy online form to start the application process. Make sure to read the application guidelines to ensure that you are eligible, and remember that your application is not complete until you send in your supplementary materials.

Monographs

Members can download monographs in PDF format for free. You must know your member ID and password for access. Nonmembers can download monographs for $3 each. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open the files. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, get a copy here.
