Call For Submissions

Guidelines for submitting to Quills and Cosmos Press

Science Fiction & Fantasy

What are we looking for? The possibilities are as vast as the cosmos itself. Whether you’re spinning tales of futuristic civilizations, weaving spells in fantastical realms, or exploring the depths of magical realism, we want to hear from you. From space operas to romantasy, from cyberpunk dystopias to high fantasy epics, your imagination is the only limit.

No Horror

However, there’s one thing we’re not interested in: horror. Whether it’s the chill of the supernatural or the darkness of the human psyche, horror just doesn’t fit our current vibe. So leave the things that go bump in the night at home, and let’s focus on the wonders of the universe instead.

No YA

And while we love a good coming-of-age tale as much as the next reader, we’re not currently in the market for YA material. Our target audience is adult readers ready to embark on an adventure of the mind.

Important Note:

We only accept submissions from women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other minorities. Your unique voices and perspectives are invaluable to us, and we’re committed to amplifying underrepresented voices in the literary world.

  • Genre: Science Fiction or Fantasy (including magical realism)

  • Length: Submit the first three chapters of your prose novel
