Spectrum Literary Journal is accepting submissions through December 31!

Call For Submissions

Greetings,

Spectrum Literary Journal is currently open for submissions, and for Volume 68 we will be navigating the artistry in embracing failure. Read the full Call for Submissions here.

Spectrum is a national journal of art and literature that is annually published by UCSB’s College of Creative studies. Founded in 1957, the publication is proud to call itself the oldest literary journal in the UC system. Through a broad range of genres and subject-matters, Spectrum aims to showcase both the scope and depth of human experience. We’re particularly passionate about work that defies, bends, or manipulates genre, and we welcome submissions of prose, poetry, visual art, and hybrid literary forms.

Submissions for the sixty-eighth volume will be accepted between July 15 and December 31 of 2024.  There is no entry fee. Submit at https://spectrum.ccs.ucsb.edu/submission-guidelines. For any questions, do not hesitate to email us at [email protected].

Warmly,

The Spectrum Editorial Staff
