Meet virtually with editors and publishers. When six or more students in a class subscribe to a single magazine, a publisher/editor from that magazine will make a virtual (or in-person where possible) visit to that class. Hear directly why magazine staff published what they did, discuss how lit-mag publishing happens, and learn about best practices for submitting creative work.
Promote a new generation of readers. Most poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction by emerging writers first finds its way into print through literary magazines, yet few student writers actively engage with the spectrum of magazines published today.
