Catapult publishes literary fiction and artful narrative nonfiction that is alive, insightful, illuminating, and surprising, and which provides a platform to voices—emerging and established—that honor the craft of writing. Our mission is threefold: to offer a space for risk-taking writers from all over the world to collide and be in conversation; to broaden the literary landscape in America and beyond; and to serve the needs and curiosities of a diverse and serious literary readership. As Rebecca Mead wrote in The New Yorker, "There are pleasures to be had from books beyond being lightly entertained."
