Do You Have Any Cover Letter Advice?
We keep it super simple. Even sent in bullet-point form and we are just fine with that, as long as it has the relevant information (see guidelines).
What Do You Look For In A Submission?
We look for … good. It's really that simple. We have never had a thematic release of the journal. We generally value craft more than content, though, of course, content matters as well.
What Advice Do You Have For First-time Submitters?
Just do it. Polish your piece. Walk away. Then come back and polish it more. Don't wait until the last minute. But most importantly … send it in!
Do You Have A Favorite Unsolicited Submission Discovery Or Anecdote?
Just that, every so often, you read that one piece that takes your breath away.
Who Is Your Ideal Reader?
Creative, open-minded, readers looking to sit in someone else's world for a moment and see their value.
