Mission Statement / Editorial Focus
The mission of Evensong Press is to find and promote uplifting literature that exemplifies Christian principles. We are looking for original works that include poetry, short stories, essays, meditations, full-length nonfiction works, novels, creative non-fiction, interviews, reviews, and genre literature. Works we are looking for do not have to be overtly "preachy," but should instead seek represent fundamental Christian values at work in the real world. In short, the goal is to show, not just tell about the faith. Our preference is for writing that explores what it means to be a Christian in terms of Monday through Saturday, not just Sunday; and that illustrates the way God touches our everyday lives. In all cases, we want the work we share to be family-friendly.
