Serving House Books (SHB) was founded by the late Thomas E Kennedy of Copenhagen and Walter Cummins of New Jersey in 2009. The mission was to give a home to reputable authors that could not find a press in a changing market and to republish out of print books. The focus has been on international literary fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and artwork. We publish books that incorporate traditional conventions in unique ways, that are both intimate and universal, that blend the sophisticated with the unexpected.
