Since 2017, the mission of the Thieving Magpie has been to provide a platform that nurtures and brings together a community of creative individuals and to advance the literary and visual arts by publishing an accessible digital (and hopefully print) quarterly loaded with fiction, poetry, essays, art and photography by writers and artists worldwide - whether established, emerging or underrepresented; by publishing these works in all formats on all available platforms; and by inspiring public creativity, participation and appreciation of the arts. By nature, magpies find gems in unusual and unexpected places. We seek out literary mischief and store our findings in our nest of mayhem to inspire our community.
